Alan Somerville has been appointed as the new Director of BRE’s Building Performance Group which incorporates flagship brands BREEAM, CEEQUAL, HQM and SmartSite along with BRE key services related to strategic advisory & housing and energy.
Former Head of Energy, Infrastructure & Sustainability, EMEA at real estate consultants Cushman & Wakefield, Alan has over 25 years’ experience in the real estate market across the UK and Europe. At Cushman & Wakefield he advised global investors and occupiers such NewRiver plc, TH Real Estate, CYB plc and Mastercard.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield he created and led the energy strategic solutions group for Capita plc, led a restructuring and IPO team for an energy company and spent 11 years with property company Grosvenor leading on complex development and regeneration projects such as Liffey Valley in Dublin.
