BRE is pleased to welcome Mal Sivapunniyan as one of its Non-Executive Directors on BRE Group’s Board.
Mal is Executive Director of Risk and Audit at dentsu group Inc and Director of Risk and Audit at dentsu international. With considerable experience in advising and transforming organisational approaches to risk management and assurance, Mal is responsible for leading a high-profile global Risk and Audit function which thrives in a fast-paced, complex, and entrepreneurial environment.
Previously, Mal was a Risk Assurance Director at accounting firm PwC UK, where she advised clients on governance matters, risk management processes, and internal controls frameworks. Mal is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
On joining the BRE Group Board, Mal said: “I am thrilled to be given this opportunity to join the Board at a pivotal time for BRE Group. I look forward to working with the Board and leadership team to collectively oversee the direction and governance of the group as we continue to enhance the built environment”.

Mal will join the BRE Group Board, currently comprising: Piers White MBE, Chairman; Gillian Charlesworth, Chief Executive; Andrew Herbert, Interim Chief Financial Officer; Brigid Sutcliffe, Non-Executive Director; Ashley Wheaton, Non-Executive Director; and Darran Messem, Non-Executive Director.
