BRE is running a series of events for the industry to provide training on how to use our web-based SMARTWaste tool and provide an understanding of Site Waste Management Plans (SWMPs) and best practice in construction waste management. These events will be fully interactive and you will leave with a full understanding of how to use SMARTWaste and the benefits of using SWMPs.
SMARTWaste is an easy to use web-based tool to help you measure construction site impacts including waste, energy use, water use and certified timber procurement. It reports at both a project and company level and has templates that can be downloaded. It is aligned with the requirements of BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes to help your project have the best chance of obtaining maximum credits. For more information on SMARTWaste or to register please go to www.smartwaste.co.uk/
N.B. This course is aimed at SMARTWaste users. Use of the tool is via our SMARTWaste membership scheme. The SMARTWaste membership scheme provides three levels of membership; Gold, Silver and Bronze, providing a range of additional benefits and SMARTWaste services to help your company get the very most out of SMARTWaste. These different levels of membership include different training options including the generic training sessions and company training days.
