The current challenging business environment has focussed managers' attention on the need to closely manage all costs.  BRE Training has introduced an Energy Management course that will assist businesses in practically implementing energy surveys and monitoring systems in order to identify and prioritise key areas for energy efficiency improvement and cost savings.

As supply tightens and environmental taxes start to bite, the cost of the energy we consume to deliver business objectives will become ever more significant. The case for effective energy management is compelling – every pound not spent on energy represents an investment opportunity, or can go straight to the bottom line. Energy is an unavoidable overhead. It is a key business resource requiring effective, professional management.

The BRE Training course draws on BRE’s wide experience gained from leading major programmes to promote industry best practice and from helping our clients address specific challenges in the field of energy management.  The course will provide delegates with the technical skills of energy management to identify where consumption of energy can be saved in order to reduce energy costs.

The course will also consider the key issues in creating and presenting a recommendations and financial appraisal report which can be discussed at senior level, to illustrate how the organisation can move forward through implementing energy saving measures.  This will help those responsible for managing energy to raise their profile and demonstrate the value they can bring to their organisation.

The significance of energy consumption and how legislation including the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme affects operational procedures and reporting requirements will also be explained.
