    This course has been developed by Professor Mervyn Richards, OBE, the author of the process known as BS1192:2007 and with Paul Shillcock co-author of PAS1192-2:2013; Mervyn and Paul are actively involved in supporting the UK Government in defining and adopting ‘BIM Level 2’.

    BRE Academy's BIM Education Pathway

    Building Information Modelling (BIM) training programme:

    • BIM Fundamentals (stage 1)
    • BIM Project Information Management and Task Information Managerment (stage 2)

    These courses are developed and delivered by the Avanti Partnership and BRE. Notably, one partner is the author of BS1192:2007 and the co-author of PAS1192:2:2013. Attending these training courses will provide access to a unique wealth of knowledge and experience, which is key in implementing the processes and procedures on live projects.


    BIM Level 2 Fundamentals – Proven Foundation Training:

    The BRE Academy and Avanti, (author of BIM Level 2 process standards, Mervyn Richards OBE) help you understand the benefits of BIM to your company and help you meet the UK Government BIM (Level 2) requirements.

    We will show you how BIM can help save you and your company money and time in the design, construction and operation of buildings and infrastructure. It can also help you to produce accurate and complete data for your client. 

    This course provides foundation training on BIM processes, procedures, information models, management and collaboration. We will support you to achieve an understanding of the Government’s approach to BIM, how the benefits of BIM can enable step change and can be realised in your organisation.
