BRE and the Grenfell Tower Inquiry
BRE welcomes the public scrutiny in the Grenfell Tower Inquiry of the events that led to the tragic fire on the night of 13th June 2017, which rightly aims to ensure that those events can never be repeated. As a core participant in Module 2, which examines the materials and circumstances around the refurbishment of the Tower, we continue to assist however we can.
Current and former employees of BRE are due to provide evidence to the Inquiry in the week beginning 22nd February 2021. As members of our fire safety team, they will be answering questions about the testing, classification and certification processes for some of the materials used on Grenfell Tower.
BRE has set out some background on our role in both our written and spoken opening statements to this module, which are available on the Inquiry’s website.
For any questions about BRE’s role arising from the evidence given at the Inquiry please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
